HolonIQ’s Education Intelligence Unit selected the 50 most innovative education technology companies from across the Nordic-Baltic region, and the list includes five Estonian EdTech companies: DreamApply, 99Math, Lingvist, Speakly and Tutor.id
All startups with headquarters in Nordic or Baltic countries and working in the field of education technology were eligible to submit an application. HolonIQ’s Education Intelligence Unit selected the top 50 startups from across the Nordic-Baltic region, based on HolonIQ’s Global EdTech assessment rubric including a range of factors such as market quality and potential, competitive landscape, product and impact, team expertise and diversity, capital, sustainability and momentum.
The regional collaboration format of the Nordic-Baltic eight brings together five Nordic and three Baltic countries – Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. This well-established regional ecosystem also supports cooperation for EdTech in addition to strong national bodies. The region is globally recognised for leading in pedagogy, innovation and education systems and the 2020 Nordic-Baltic EdTech 50 recognises and celebrates those teams based in the region who are supporting education innovation and impact.

DreamApply – management platforms; student admission management system
99Math – STEAM & coding; collaborative platform for mathematics games
Lingvist – language learning; data-driven adaptive language learning platform
Speakly – language learning; provides language learning tool
Tutor.id – supporting teachers & students; global tutors for a variety of subjects
